Ranko Božović is the director and founder of the consulting company EnPlus, active in the field of optimization projects related to urban environments based on the concepts of sustainable, integrated solutions.
Ranko is a member of international engineering associations such as ASHRAE, SAIRAC, CIBSE, USGBC i PMI (USA Project Management Institute). After graduating from the Faculty of mechanical engineering in Belgrade he worked for Energoprojekt and Atlantic Technology for several years, mainly on producing feasibility studies, project management, overseeing construction work and financial management of different projects. His current work interest lies in engineering innovative technologies for complex, integrated, parameter-based planning of urban neighbourhoods with a special focus on blue-green solutions, new simulation technologies and sustainable energy resources. Ranko is also engaged in knowledge transfer to younger generations through series of lectures at the Faculties of Mechanical Engineering and Faculty of Architecture about the use of new technologies in architectural and urban design. He was also actively participating in the development of the Serbian bylaw for energy efficiency, and he also worked on educating engineers on getting energy licences. Božović has actively participated in numerous international projects in the field of contemporary urban planning such as “PURGE”, “Blue Green Dream”, “Horizon 2020 projects”, “BLUES” and “BLOSOM”. He is engaged in the Climate_KIC project, as well as in the workshops organized by the Smart Sustainable Cities program. Currently, his main activities are related to the implementation and promotion of modern technologies in urban planning with the goal of improving life quality in the cities, as well as raising the responsibility level of urban planners for city functioning in the future.
