MADE IN: CONTEMPORARY MUSEUMS OF TRADITIONAL CRAFTS

Konjic received the first Museum of Wood Carving, the only building in BiH that preserves the tradition of a specific craft of the people of Konjic, which dates back to 1885. The museum was opened by the company Zanat, whose name is known not only on the domestic market but also in Europe and the world when it comes to high-quality designed furniture.

The museum also houses exhibits made by the grandfather of today’s owners of the Craft in the 1930s, and these pieces of furniture were once exhibited at fairs throughout Europe. Both then and today, it was known that the finest and highest quality furniture was created in this area, the one on which tradition and vision were engraved with a precise and caring hand.
