Mikser’s Open Call

We invite all creators to express themselves with words this time! Mikser announces a competition for a short form – poetry or prose, which conveys emotions, ideas and attitudes created during these six months filled with the struggle for a more inclusive and solidary society.

What does the revolution look like from the poet’s point of view?
What is the role of poetry in historical moments such as this?
How can a poet be a catalyst for changes in society?

Who can apply?
If you are a young person (15-35 years old), you apply by sending up to 3 short forms – poetry or prose, which depict your impression of current events in our society, in Serbian and/or English, and with them you submit the concept of the performance itself (up to 200 words). Think how your works can be a support for ideas about new social orders, but also serve as a trace of collective action. The contest ends on May 20 at midnight, and you can submit your works to office@mikser.rs.

The 10 selected authors will be invited to present their work live at Mikser. In the fall, we will publish an edition that will collect these works in one fanzine called “Poetry of Change” in cooperation with Nedeljnik magazine.

The jury consists of contemporary poets – Marija Dragnić, Uroš Đorović and Damir Damir.
