As the president of the Save the Village Association, she focuses on stimulating the equal development of rural women’s entrepreneurship and providing employment opportunities for local women1. Malina’s efforts include empowering women to define their goals and become independent, enabling them to fight for their rights with greater strength. She emphasizes the importance of women’s independence in advocating for their rights. Through her association, Malina Stanojevic aims to reduce poverty among rural women, ensure their satisfaction with work in the village, and prevent families from migrating to urban areas. By nurturing agricultural production and preserving village traditions, she strives to keep families together and maintain a sense of community. Malina’s initiatives involve projects like food production using traditional recipes without artificial ingredients, benefiting around 100 women members of the association. Additionally, she promotes rural tourism as a means for people to experience healthy food and learn about local production processes. Her commitment to gender advocacy and empowering women in rural areas has made a significant impact on improving livelihoods and fostering sustainable development in these regions.

She was born in Donja Bela Reka, lives in Banja, Priboj. She worked at the Priboj Automobile Factory for 35 years as a designer and contractor of electrical works and supervised the execution of electrical installations. Now she is retired and for more than 10 years she has been the head of the Women’s Association “Sačuvajmo selo” Priboj. In the beginning there were only five of them, and now there are close to a hundred of them.
