Tijana Palkovljević Bugarski is an art historian and museum advisor. She is the President of the Management Board of the Novi Sad 2022 – European Capital of Culture Foundation and general director of The Gallery of Matica Srpska. She has made significant contributions to cultural diversity and inclusion through her work in various cultural and artistic initiatives. As a director of the oldest national Gallery and a prominent figure in the cultural scene, she is actively involved in the protection of movable cultural heritage, gender equality promotion, and fostering dialogue among different communities. Tijana’s involvement in the Women’s CEO Summit and her leadership in digitizing fine art objects highlight her commitment to using art as a platform for social changes and inclusivity. Her efforts in supporting national cultural centers for minorities and advocating for artistic value and contemporary creation demonstrate a dedication to encourage originality and cultural expression across diverse communities. Through her work, Tijana has not only enriched Serbia’s cultural landscape but also championed the importance of cultural diplomacy and collaboration in building a more inclusive society.
