Dr. Tijana Prodanović holds a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA in 2006 in the field of particle astrophysics.

Today, she is an Associate Professor at the Department of Astronomy, Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade, a lead data scientist at a startup Wonder Dynamics, a science communicator at the Association of Science Communicators NauKom. Tijana also spent 4 years teaching astronomy to gifted students at gymnasium, and was a visiting professor at University of Ljubljana, and Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology.

She has made significant contributions to the popularization and inclusivity of science through various endeavors. She won the national competition, and won 2nd place in the international Fame Lab competition for the best young science communicator.

Her participation in numerous popular science lectures and events highlights her dedication to making complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging for diverse audiences. Through these initiatives, Tijana Prodanović has played a pivotal role in fostering a culture of science communication and inclusivity, inspiring others to explore and appreciate the wonders of science.

Tijana managed to create a real small revolution on TikTok and interest young people in astrophysics, treating scientific topics in a fun way. With more than 50,000 followers and 1.2 million likes Tijana aka Dr Cosmic Ray promotes science and its achievements to the widest of audiences making it more communicable.
